Cherokee Basket Making 1

Cherokee Basket Making - 1

Consists of 1 class where you will learn the history of Cherokee baskets, and be given a basket 'starter' to continue weaving into a Cherokee Basket with instruction. The class is 1 - 2 hours depending on skill levels of students, and is limited to 5 persons per session.  If a session fills, another will be opened. By signing up for this class, you acknowledge that under Federal Indian Arts & Crafts Act laws, you may 'not' call this basket a Cherokee basket unless you are federally-enrolled in one of the 3 recognized Cherokee tribal governments, nor call it a Native American basket unless you are a federally enrolled Native American of any tribe. You will, however, be able to show off your 'Cherokee-STYLE' basket which you made under the instruction of a federally-enrolled Cherokee Basket Maker! You will receive a certificate of completion.

Cost includes class, all supplies, and a make-it-and-take-it basket.

Class Fee:$50.00 (Returning students are $20.00 plus class, but must buy supplies)
